Overview

Voxek.net is run by Mohammed Awad, trading as Voxek, the creator of the Voxek YouTube channel. Mohammed Awad is the data controller for the personal data described here. The site lists the Minecraft mods from the shorts, and it has a mod builder: you describe a mod, an AI makes it, and you can keep it private or share it. This policy explains what we collect, what other people can see, which companies handle it for us, and how to have it deleted. We don't sell your personal data.

What we collect

  • Your account — you can browse without one. To build mods you sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email. We store your email address and, if you use Google, the name and profile picture Google shares. Your public name on Voxek is a random one (like "CleverRabbit55") until you change it in Settings; your Google name is never shown.
  • Mods you build — what you type to describe a mod, the files the AI makes from it (code, textures, the .jar), and a preview of what's inside. Mods start private. We also log each build (when, what you asked for, whether it worked and what it cost us to run) to keep the builder working and affordable.
  • Steaks, likes and progress — your steak balance and what you spent it on, the mods you like, and your XP, level, achievements and daily-chest streak.
  • Invites — if you sign up through a friend's invite link, we record who invited you and whether you've built a mod, so they can get their reward. To stop people inviting their own extra accounts, we compare a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address and of your network's IP address with the inviter's. The hashed network is kept for 90 days; the actual addresses are never stored. The record that an account was invited stays after that account is deleted (with no readable email in it), so the same person can't be invited twice.
  • Emails we send — if you leave it on in Settings, we email you when a mod finishes building. We don't send marketing email.
  • Feedback — what you write in the Feedback form, the page you were on, the reply address if you give one, whether you were signed in, and your IP address (to stop spam).
  • Mod chat messages — when you use the "Drop a mod idea" chat, we store your message, the AI's reply, the time and your IP address. The IP address enforces the chat's limits. Your message (not your IP address) is sent to Groq, an AI provider, to write the reply.
  • Mods you submitted — the Submit a mod form (no longer on the site) sent a mod's name, platform and link, and a description and your name or handle if you fill them in, stored with the time, your IP address and whether we approved it.
  • Payments — Paddle.com runs checkout as our Merchant of Record and collects your payment details; we receive your email, your plan, when it renews and whether each payment went through, never your card number.
  • Usage data — Google Analytics records page views, how you use each page (scrolling, links you follow off the site, forms you start or send, downloads), session length, the site you came from, approximate location from your IP address, and your browser, device and operating system. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without tying them to your IP address.
  • Settings in your browser — your sign-in session, an invite code you arrived with (until you sign in, at most a week), your light or dark theme, whether you paused the animated world on the home page, and which achievements you've already been shown are kept in your browser's storage. Clearing this site's data removes them (and signs you out).

What other people can see

  • Your public profile at voxek.net/u/your-name: your public name, your profile picture if you signed in with Google, your level, XP, achievements, best chest streak and your public mods with their likes and downloads. Profiles are kept out of search engines.
  • Mods you publish: the mod, its preview, your public name and picture, the date, its likes and downloads. What you typed to build a published mod is stored with it and can be read by others, so don't put personal details in it.
  • Private mods, your email, your likes, your feedback and your steaks are never shown to other people.
Voxek can see everything above, including IP addresses, through a password-protected admin page.

Advertising

Voxek uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site and to other sites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to Voxek and other sites on the internet. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors' personalised ads at aboutads.info. See how Google uses cookies in advertising. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, you're asked for consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link that appears at the bottom of the page.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga, to tell visits apart and measure traffic. Google AdSense sets advertising cookies (see Advertising). Signing in uses your browser's storage rather than cookies. The site still works if you block cookies. To opt out of analytics, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on or block this site's cookies in your browser.

Third-party services

These companies handle data for Voxek. Some are in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country; where data leaves the UK or the EEA, it's covered by the providers' data protection terms, which use the Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. A link off Voxek (to YouTube, Discord, Modrinth or CurseForge) takes you to a site with its own privacy policy.
  • Vercel — hosts the site and its server code, and runs Web Analytics; it handles every request, including your IP address (privacy notice)
  • Railway — runs the mod builder's server, which receives your build requests (privacy policy)
  • Supabase — our database, file storage and sign-in (privacy policy)
  • Anthropic — its Claude AI writes your mods; it receives what you type to describe a mod, not your email (privacy policy)
  • Groq — writes the mod chat's replies and some mod plans; it receives the text you typed (privacy policy)
  • Resend — sends the "your mod is ready" emails, so it receives your email address (privacy policy)
  • Google — Sign in with Google, Analytics, AdSense, and the site's fonts, which load from Google's servers (privacy policy)
  • Paddle — checkout and billing for paid plans (privacy policy)
  • YouTube, Modrinth and CurseForge — thumbnails and mod icons load from their servers, which see your IP address

How long we keep it

Your account, mods, likes, steaks and progress stay until you delete your account. Chat messages, mod submissions and feedback stay until we delete them or you ask us to. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics data is kept by Google and Vercel under their own rules.

Deleting your data

Delete your account any time in Settings: that removes your account, your email address, all your mods and their files, your likes, steaks, progress, profile and build log. Feedback you sent stays but is no longer linked to you, and payment records stay as described above. For anything else (chat messages, submissions, feedback), or to see what we hold about you, email voxekbusiness@gmail.com.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing voxekbusiness@gmail.com. We reply within one month. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also object to how we use it, restrict it, take a copy with you, withdraw any consent you gave, and complain to your local data protection authority. We use your data to run the site and the builder you asked for, to keep it safe from spam and abuse, to measure and improve it, and, with your consent where the law requires it, for advertising.

Age

Voxek is for a general audience and isn't directed at children. You need to be at least 13 to make an account, or older where your country sets a higher age for agreeing to this yourself (up to 16 in some EU countries). If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it. Parents: if you think your child has given us personal information, email voxekbusiness@gmail.com and we'll delete it.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
